The training for quality inspectors of engineered wood panels and their products in enterprises began successfully in Linyi on August 3, 2023. This training was organized by the Timber Conservation and Development Center (referred to as the Timber Conservation Center) and the National Center for Performance and Quality Inspection and Testing of Timber and Wood Products (referred to as the National Inspection Center), and it was hosted by the Linyi Adhesive Association, Linyi Wood Flooring Industry Association, and Shandong Zoongryan New Materials Co., Ltd. 

In response to the needs of the participating enterprises and trainees, the instructors at this training program provided hands-on teaching on various parameters related to engineered wood panels and their products. These parameters include size, density, moisture content, water absorption thickness expansion rate, static bending strength, elastic modulus, internal bond strength, surface bond strength, screw-holding strength, lightfastness, and formaldehyde emission testing in a 1-cubic-meter climate chamber. The instructors ensured that every student not only grasped the principles but also acquired the skills and details of testing.

Following the completion of the training, the organizers conducted a comprehensive assessment of all participants. The assessment results indicated that the trainees had gained a preliminary understanding of the principles and key aspects of testing related to engineered wood panels and their products, including size, density, moisture content, water absorption thickness expansion rate, static bending strength, elastic modulus, internal bond strength, surface bond strength, screw-holding strength, lightfastness, and formaldehyde emission testing in a 1-cubic-meter climate chamber.
